1. Definitions
- "We," "Us," "Our" refers to Prism Ledger, a financial education provider operating in Malaysia.
- "You," "Your," "Participant" refers to any individual enrolling in or inquiring about our programs.
- "Programs" refers to our educational offerings including Understanding Bank Products, Commodities and Natural Resources Primer, and Holistic Family Financial Governance.
- "Services" refers to all educational content, materials, and support provided through our programs.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions along with our Privacy Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in our programs, submitting inquiries, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not enroll in our programs or use our services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in our programs. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.
For group or family programs, the enrolling party confirms that all participants meet the age requirement and have consented to participate.
3. Program Description and Scope
3.1 Educational Nature
Our programs provide financial education and information. We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or personalized financial planning services. Program content is educational in nature and designed to help you understand financial concepts and make informed decisions independently.
3.2 Program Delivery
Programs consist of:
- Scheduled educational sessions conducted over specified timeframes
- Structured learning materials and exercises
- Deliverable tools including matrices, frameworks, templates, and checklists
- Access to program facilitators during session hours
- Between-session support as specified in program materials
3.3 Program Availability
We reserve the right to modify program content, schedules, or delivery methods with reasonable notice to enrolled participants. If significant changes affect your enrollment, you will be offered alternative arrangements or a refund.
4. Enrollment and Payment
4.1 Enrollment Process
Enrollment becomes binding when we confirm your registration and you complete payment. Enrollment confirmation will be sent via email within 2 business days of payment receipt.
4.2 Program Fees
Current program fees are:
- Understanding Bank Products: RM 1,450
- Commodities and Natural Resources Primer: RM 4,400
- Holistic Family Financial Governance: RM 8,800
Fees include all session materials, deliverable tools, and support during the program period. Fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are subject to change for future program cycles with advance notice.
4.3 Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at time of enrollment unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or online payment platforms. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers.
4.4 Refund Policy
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
- Before Program Start: Full refund if cancellation received at least 7 days before the first session
- Within 7 Days of Start: 50% refund if cancellation received within 7 days of the first session
- After First Session: No refund available once the first session has occurred
- Program Cancellation by Us: Full refund if we cancel the program for any reason
5. Participant Responsibilities
5.1 Attendance and Participation
Participants are expected to:
- Attend all scheduled sessions or notify us of absences
- Complete between-session exercises and applications
- Participate respectfully in discussions and activities
- Arrive prepared with necessary materials
5.2 Confidentiality of Other Participants
Participants must maintain confidentiality of information shared by other participants during sessions. Discussions within program sessions should not be shared outside the program context.
5.3 Prohibited Conduct
Participants may not:
- Record sessions without explicit written permission
- Distribute program materials to non-participants
- Use program content for commercial purposes
- Engage in disruptive or disrespectful behavior
- Solicit other participants for business purposes
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership
All program materials, including but not limited to curriculum content, matrices, frameworks, templates, presentations, and handouts, are the intellectual property of Prism Ledger and protected by Malaysian copyright law.
6.2 Limited License
Enrolled participants receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use program materials for personal educational purposes only. This license permits:
- Personal use of deliverable tools and templates
- Adaptation of frameworks for individual application
- Reference to program concepts in personal decision-making
6.3 Restrictions
Participants may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display program materials
- Create derivative works based on program content for commercial use
- Use program materials to conduct competing educational services
- Remove copyright notices or attribution from materials
7. Disclaimers
7.1 Educational Purpose Only
Our programs provide general financial education and information. Content should not be construed as personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or professional counsel. Participants should consult qualified professionals before making specific financial decisions.
7.2 No Guarantees
We do not guarantee specific outcomes, results, or financial benefits from program participation. Financial decisions and their consequences remain the sole responsibility of the participant.
7.3 Information Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, financial regulations, market conditions, and product offerings change frequently. Program content reflects conditions at the time of delivery. We encourage participants to verify current information before making decisions.
7.4 Third-Party Information
Programs may reference third-party financial institutions, products, or services for educational purposes only. Such references do not constitute endorsements. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party information or the practices of third-party institutions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Prism Ledger, its facilitators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Financial losses resulting from decisions made based on program content
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding the program fee paid by the participant
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which liability might arise, including negligence, contract, or any other basis.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Prism Ledger, its facilitators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
- Your use of program materials beyond the permitted scope
- Financial decisions you make following program participation
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by Participant
You may withdraw from a program subject to the refund policy outlined in Section 4.4. Withdrawal does not relieve you of obligations regarding confidentiality and intellectual property.
10.2 Termination by Prism Ledger
We reserve the right to terminate your participation for:
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior
- Non-payment or fraudulent payment
- Breach of confidentiality
In such cases, no refund will be provided, and you remain liable for any fees owed.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
11.2 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution through direct communication. Contact [email protected] to begin this process.
11.3 Mediation
If informal resolution fails, parties agree to participate in mediation before pursuing litigation. Mediation costs shall be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
12. General Provisions
12.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Prism Ledger regarding program participation.
12.2 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
12.3 Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.
12.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
12.5 Notice
Notices under these terms shall be sent to the email address provided at enrollment or to [email protected] for notices to Prism Ledger.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms and Conditions periodically. Material changes will be communicated via:
- Email notification to enrolled participants
- Prominent notice on our website
- Updated "Last Updated" date
Changes apply to enrollments made after the effective date. Current participants remain subject to the terms in effect at their enrollment unless changes are required by law.
